2026-2027 Parish Bible Studies
Never stop learning about the Faith! Studying the Bible in a group setting is a wonderful way
to continue our life long journey to grow in our understanding God’s Word. It helps us focus
on a particular book or aspect of the Bible or our faith and helps us find the deeper meaning
and how it plays out in our daily lives. “When we open God’s Word, its truth will be imparted
to us…” Studying with others broadens our outlook, expands our knowledge, and opens us
up to hear the Holy Spirit speak to us here and now. A group setting allows for discussions
and provides the healthy support of a small faith community surrounding us in prayer.
The ROC Catholics Northwest Evangelization Team has put together a listing of Bible Studies
which are happening within our 7-parish area. This resource can help you find a convenient
time and place to join a group with a topic that interests you.
St. Leo the Great, 110 Old Hojack Lane, Hilton

❖ Bible journaling–A way of meditating on scripture and engaging more deeply with it. The goal
is to get into God’s Word and get God’s Word into you. It changes the way that you read, but it
also becomes a record of what God has taught you, of your spiritual growth, of His dealings in
your life. Whether you are new to scripture or have been reading the Bible for years, Bible
Journaling provides a relaxed, satisfying approach to reading, understanding, and learning
from scripture. We are a small group of people who simply share the love of growing in God’s
Word through Bible journaling. We would love for you to join us as we explore scripture with
others who want to grow in their understanding of God’s Word and walk with the Lord. We
meet monthly to read, reflect, share, and journal. Beginners are highly encouraged! There is
no right or wrong way to ‘do’ Bible journaling, it is individual preference. No class or previous
Bible journaling or art experience is necessary – just a heart ready to interact with the Word.
❖ When: Fourth Tuesday of each month from 1 – 3 PM
❖ Where: St. Charles Borromeo Church Borromeo Ministry Center Library
❖ What to bring: Your Bible, or a journal to write or draw in if you would rather not journal in
your Bible, some favorite pens, colored pencils if you have them. Note: Bibles are available to
use during our session if you do not have one. Let’s grow closer to God through this unique,
hands-on creative experience!

materials by Scott Hahn in the Ignatius Bible Study
